Cotton Throw by Keturah Nangala Zimran
Description
Throw featuring artwork by Arrernte, Luritja and Pintupi artist Keturah Nangala Zimran OAM. The ancient Australian landscape with its eroded forms and organic shapes provides motivation for Zimran’s art. In this work she depicts the natural rock formations (Puli Puli) found in and around Haasts Bluff (NT).
Another of Zimran’s works, Puli Puli (2015), is part of the Parliament House Art Collection. The Collection includes over 6,000 works, featuring important objects relating to Australia’s parliamentary history, as well as artworks by some of Australia’s best-known contemporary artists.
