Stuart the Cat Designs creates distinctive jewellery that blends bold colour with clean, contemporary design. Each piece reflects a playful yet considered aesthetic, brought to life through a mix of traditional silversmithing and unexpected materials.

Founded in 2008 by Canberra/Kamberri-based silversmith and artist Lisa Jose, the brand grew from her early experiments in jewellery-making while completing a PhD in archaeology at The Australian National University. Today, Lisa continues her practice as both a silversmith and printmaker.

Drawing on a deep interest in the ancient world, Lisa’s work combines history with modern design. Her pieces often incorporate unconventional materials—from fossilised mammoth bone to reclaimed elements—resulting in jewellery that is both unique and thoughtfully crafted.
