Earthquake: The Election That Shook Australia
Description
Sharp, timely and compelling, Earthquake brings together the best of Niki Savva’s political commentary alongside her in-depth analysis of the 2025 federal election — a result that reshaped Australia’s political landscape.
Savva traces the lead-up to Labor’s landslide on 3 May 2025, unpacking the reputational fallout, internal fractures and shifting loyalties that shook both major parties. Through her clear-eyed reporting, she charts the rise of the teal independents, the missteps that weakened the conservative Coalition, and the political forces that turned Anthony Albanese into a defining Labor figure.
Drawing on decades of experience and unmatched access to key players, Savva offers an insider’s view of the moments, decisions and campaigns that made this election one of the most consequential in modern Australian history.
